Since 2011, Jorge Moran has owned and managed a successful beach hostel (Esperanto Hostel) in the Ecuadorian surf town of Montañita. Esperanto Hostel and since then, the hostel has been awarded Certificates of Excellence by Tripadvisor every year. Lonely Planet also chose Esperanto as the Green & Sustainable option in Montañita and a Green Leader TripAdvisor Award, and 2020 Traveler´s Choice and Hall of Fame in Trip Advisor
Following the success of Esperanto Hostel, Jorge founded Take Me To Ecuador and opened a sister hostel, Casa Esperanto, in the nearby village of Las Tunas.
Take Me To Ecuador was founded by this Ecuadorian entrepreneur and surfer . After completely falling in love with Scandinavia on a visit in 2010, Jorge set up a home in Sweden, where he lives for several months of the year. When he’s not in Ecuador or Sweden, Jorge loves nothing better than travelling all over the world, exploring and learning about new cultures. His backpacking expeditions have taken him to many countries in Europe and South East Asia. On surf trips to Indonesia, The Philippines, France, Spain, and Central & South America, Jorge has extensively researched into what makes a truly outstanding adventure holiday. It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it!
